Our services are voluntary. Any personal information requested of or provided by you, is for the sole purpose of facilitating the provision of quality services. All such personal information is considered strictly confidential and cannot be released without your written consent except where required by force of law (eg. subpoena, child abuse).

We adhere to the Code of Ethics of the Ontario College of Social Work and Social Service Workers as well as Accreditation Standards through Family Service Ontario and the Council on Accreditation relative to our Employee Assistance Programs. Our accreditation standards have strict guidelines for safeguarding the personal information of our clients. Your right to privacy is not time limited continuing even after your contact with us has ended.

All agency personnel including volunteers are bound by an Oath of Confidentiality. This oath is not just confined to written records but extends to visual observations of persons who may attend our offices.

The use of non-identifying demographic information may be used from time to time for the purpose of:

Program evaluation
Community service planning
Identification of trends

The Privacy Officer is the Executive Director, who is available to answer any additional questions.
